Mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable holiday celebration! From December 13-16, 2024, Dawson Creek will be hosting Winter Fest – a festive series of events filled with fun, community spirit, and holiday cheer for everyone to enjoy! 

🎄 December 13 – Fire Truck Parade

Experience the magic of a Christmas Parade featuring the City’s fire trucks, lights, candy canes, music, and maybe even Santa! Firefighters will volunteer their time to collect non-perishable food donations along the route for the Dawson Creek food bank, helping families in need this season.

☃️ December 14 – Winter Wonderland - Sponsored by ARC Resources

Step into a Winter Wonderland on the front lawn of City Hall! Enjoy photos with Santa, a snowman-building contest, delicious hot chocolate, and candy canes. This is a perfect family-friendly event to kick off the holiday spirit.

📍 Location: City Hall – Front Lawn
🕒 Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

🍪 December 14-15 – Cookie Decorating - Sponsored by the Dawson Co-op

Bring the kids to this two-day festive cookie decorating event, where they can get creative and celebrate the season. Brought to you by the City of Dawson Creek and the Dawson Co-op, it’s a sweet way to make holiday memories!

📍 Location: Co-op Mall
🕒 Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

⛸️ December 15 – Indoor Skating - Sponsored by ARC Resources

Lace up your skates and glide into the holiday spirit at a festive, free public skate! This event is open to all, so bring your friends and family for some winter fun on the ice.

🕒 Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

❄️ December 15 – Journey to the North Pole - Sponsored by ARC Resources

Join us at Kin Park for a winter adventure day! Enjoy sledding, snow painting, and a game of winter volleyball. Some activities will depend on weather, so prepare accordingly for an afternoon of outdoor fun!

🎅 December 16 – Santa’s Workshop - Sponsored by Ovintiv Events Centre

Step into Santa’s Workshop for an evening of holiday cheer! Kids can wrap presents, play festive games, and enjoy refreshments with holiday music. This workshop is a perfect way to end Winter Fest with family and friends.
